25th Anniversary

Celebrating 25 Years of Cultural Excellence

For 25 years, Makuu has been a vibrant hub of connection, growth, and empowerment for students interested in Black culture and the African Diaspora at the University of Pennsylvania. As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on our journey and look ahead to the future with renewed dedication to fostering opportunities for the next generation of leaders, scholars, and changemakers.

This anniversary is not just a celebration of what we’ve accomplished, but a call to action for the years ahead. Together, we will continue to create spaces where Black students can thrive, be seen, and lead with purpose. Join us as we honor the past and embrace the future, building on the legacy of Makuu for the next 25 years and beyond.
